Gosh I have only by chance stumbled across your website and your article.Thank you so much for sharing this powerful account of one woman's story. Undoubtedly the personal stories of each of these precious souls will emerge in time. As far as I am aware while every effort has and is being made for the facts to be reported within and across diverse forums such as some of those mentioned above, true and lasting change starts in the hearts of people it comes from within and it calls us all to a much higher order of R/response. One day the entire world will know the T/truth of what really happened in Iran. It will be written in history and carried across the reaches of T/time. In no way does this article nullify your effort. Keep up your good works. We must all stay strong for them for ourselves for each other and for all the generations who follow in our footsteps.
ps I am so glad you mention their names I have them on the wall of my office where I see them and remember each of them everyday. During those moments when I am going through difficulties( I am a Post Separation Family Mediator) I look at their faces and I say their names.

Behrouz Tavakkoli, Saeid Rezaie, Fariba Kamalabadi, Vahid Tizfahm, Jamaloddin Khanjani, Afif Naeimi and Mahvash Sabet.

Johanna, regarding your comment:

One item: you give the background of one of the seven persons. Six are missing, which weakens, if not nullifies your efforts right there.

It most certainly does not! This article focused on one person. I'm sure articles will be written on each of the other wrongfully imprisoned people who are being persecuted because they are Baha'is.

Apart from asking to share this article with unspecified others, you say nothing about whom to write to in particular. The US President, Scty. of State Clinton, UN Secty. Gen. Ban Ki Mun and UN agencies for human rights, etc., which need to be investigated and chosen, the World Council of Churches, Churches of the Middle East, humane agencies (several and some probably a better choice than others), all come to mind. And, perhaps, some well-chosen Islamic institutions which may exist, would be important, to light up and stress that Prophet Mohammed expressly spoke of religious tolerance.
Obviously, 'religious tolerance' is automatically scuttled if treason is the accusation, but, again, there is a line of argument there which needs pursuit, presentation, and be sent to world agencies.
Perhaps you could give names and address data of some of the people and agencies above. If you can do that, it would help people who might want to write, call, work, in short, to plead these victims' cases in order to not only free them, but embarrass Iran before the world, and indeed, point to a glaring contradiction and/or split within Islam.
So what are your options to call for reasonable action in the public arena, have you a plan and are you giving out carefully thought out and gathered tools for the people you want to reach with your news?
One item: you give the background of one of the seven persons. Six are missing, which weakens, if not nullifies your efforts right there.
Best wishes,
Johanna Sayre

Yes, thank you for the insight into her life and situation. This type of information makes her more real to us who don't know her. I hope the "friends" know that there are so many of us who are praying for them and that our souls are mingling with theirs.

Thank you on behalf of the thousands that
want to hear and even more that need to
hear the personalization of this tragedy.
She and the others are "friends" indeed.
We must assure them that they are not alone.
